Web 2.0Technologies in the Classroom for Today's Learners
Research is showing that instructional technologies in higher education bring FUN and ENGAGEMENT to the classroom. They also enhance equal access to learning by providing content-rich course materials in a variety of formats that target different learning styles (i.e. VARK: Visual, Aural, Reading, and Kinesthetic learners) and multiple intelligences. Web 2.0 games also increase learner motivation and have sound andragogical basis. In the face-to-face setting, I find that my adult learners and iGen traditional learners alike benefit from interactive use of the smart podium, cell phones, and laptops. In our course learning management system, on ground and online students can access the technologies at their own pace and review lessons and materials as desired.

I also use instructional technologies for my students with disabilities. Screenreaders, audio captioning, visual essays, and more are part of my universal design for learning wherein no one is left behind.

Emaze
In my F2F & online courses, my Emaze presentations & lessons enhance learner experience.
Presentations are embedded in our learning management system for ease of learner access and review.
TedEd Lessons
My TedEd lessons allow learner flexibility and deepen the academic conversation. The lessons I've created have more than 1.5 million hits. That tells me that learners are engaged!
Screencast Technologies
Screencast technologies like Screencast-o-matic, VideoScribe, Animoto, Jing, and Kaizena allow me to create reviewable LMS-embedded tutorials and to give richly detailed feedback on student work.
